CGT Battlefields Ltd is a company committed to customer satisfaction and consumer financial protection. We are therefore pleased to announce that, at no extra cost to you, and in accordance with “The Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements of 2018” all passengers booking with CGT Battlefields Ltd are fully insured for the initial deposit, and subsequently the balance of monies paid as detailed in your booking confirmation form. The policy will also include repatriation if required, arising from the cancellation or curtailment of your travel arrangements due to the insolvency of CGT Battlefields Ltd.
This insurance has been arranged with Affirma a trading brand of MGA Cover Services Limited (registered address Farren 135 High Street, Crawley, England, RH10 1DQ, company registration: 08444204 authorized and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority registration number 678541) under a binding authority with Evolution Insurance Company Limited (“the Insurer”), registered in Gibraltar No. 88737 with a registered office at 5/5 Crutchett's Ramp, Gibraltar, GX11 1AA.
Evolution Insurance Company Limited is licensed by the Financial Services Commission in Gibraltar under the Financial Services (Insurance Companies) Act to carry on insurance business in Gibraltar, and authorised and subject to limited regulation by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in the UK. Details about the extent of our authorisation and regulation by the FCA are available from us on request.

The claims department will supply instructions to follow and the documents required to submit your claim.
Please ensure you retain your booking confirmation form as evidence of cover and value.
NB: If payment for your holiday was made by credit or debit card you must contact the Claims team on the contact above in the first instance for instructions.
Policy exclusions: This policy will not cover any monies paid back to you by your Travel Insurance or any losses which are recoverable under another insurance or bond (with the exception of Credit and Debit card). This policy will also not cover any loss sustained by Passenger(s) booked on a flight-inclusive package sold and commencing within the United Kingdom.

Safety Management System
The health and safety of our groups is our prime concern and CGT Battlefields Ltd is committed to providing the highest reasonable practicable levels of safety throughout our tour programmes. Our Safety Management System explains the policies and procedures laid down by CGT Battlefields Ltd to ensure that all Group Tours operated by CGT Battlefields are as safe as is reasonably practicable.

CGT Battlefields have removed the hard work from carrying out risk assessments, giving you useful information, advice and a simple guide to completing the paperwork.
The completion of a risk assessment for your tour is an important and vital step on protecting the health and safety of your group. The primary consideration for any tour must be the safety of individuals for who the tour is being conducted. Additionally, a well-conducted risk assessment will assist in having your trip approved by your local authority and senior management.

Only you can complete your risk assessment, every group is different and we will not be aware of health, behaviour, medical requirements and special needs of the individuals travelling. The group leader has a responsibility under the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations to ensure risks are assessed and appropriate control measures put in place and final approval of your risk assessment must be signed by a competent person within your own organisation.

When travelling as a group it is important that everyone is covered by a travel insurance policy. CGT Battlefields Ltd is an appointed representative of Global Travel Insurance Services Ltd.

It is essential that you read the policy prior to booking in order to fully understand the policy and the level of cover provided - a “Summary of Cover” is attached. Please provide each member of your group with a copy of the summary and be sure to draw all your group members' attention to the policy and ensure that they have read and fully understood the contents and the terms of the policy.
Please note that until the appropriate premium is paid to us, no insurance has been taken out. CGT recommend that any insurance premium is paid to us as soon as possible as the cover cannot start until this payment has been received and your insurance policy documents issued. When the insurance premium is forwarded, we must also receive a full list of the group members travelling. Travel Insurance is person specific and cannot be transferred.
Once the premium has been paid we will issue the insurance certificates and you must distribute them to all party members. The insurer provides a Money Back Guarantee enabling you to cancel the insurance within 14 days of issue should it not meet any group members' requirements. Please draw your group members' attention to the policy terms, conditions and exclusions which they should read and fully satisfy themselves that the policy is suitable for them. It is your responsibility to ensure they receive their copy of the policy in the appropriate time to allow them to secure a refund within 14 days if the policy is not suitable for them. (Where group members are under 18, their parents/guardians must be made aware of these policy, terms, conditions and exclusions.) No refund of premium is provided for cancellation after this time.
Area 1 – United Kingdom – England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, including all islands comprising the British Isles (except the Channel Islands and Republic of Ireland). Any British Isles of UK Cruises are rated as Area 2.
Area 2 – Europe – Continental Europe west of the Ural mountain range, all counties bordering the Mediterranean Sea (except Egypt, Jordan (other than for excursions), Lebanon, Libya and Syria), the Channel Islands and Republic of Ireland, Madeira, The Canaries and the Azores (persons residing in the Channel Islands will need to pay Area 2 rates for UK trips).
Information on the passport and visa requirements applicable for your destination are shown on www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice. You should consider these prior to booking. Requirements may change and you must check the up to date position in good time before departure. A British passport presently takes approximately 2 to 6 weeks to obtain. If you or any member of your party is 16 or over and haven't yet got a passport, you should apply for one at least 6 weeks before your tour. The UK Passport Service has to confirm your identity before issuing your first passport and will ask you to attend an interview in order to do this. If you or any member of your party is not a British citizen or holds a non British passport, you must check passport and visa requirements with the embassy or consulate of the country(ies) to or through which you are intending to travel.
It is your responsibility to ensure you are aware of all recommended vaccinations and health precautions in good time before departure. Details are available from your GP surgery and from the National Travel Health Network and Centre travelhealthpro.org.uk. Information on health abroad is also available on www.nhs.uk/Livewell/Travelhealth. We are not aware of any compulsory health requirements applicable to British citizens taking any of the tours we feature. You should obtain an EHIC (European Health Insurance Card) prior to departure from www.ehic.org.uk. An EHIC is not a substitute for travel insurance. Vaccination and other health requirements/recommendations are subject to change at any time for any destination. Please therefore check with a doctor or clinic not less than six weeks prior to departure to ensure that you have met the necessary requirements and have the applicable information.
It is the party leader's responsibility to ensure that all members of the party are in possession of all necessary travel and health documents before departure. All costs incurred in obtaining such documentation must be paid by you. We regret we cannot accept any liability if you are refused entry onto any transport or into any country due to failure on your part to carry all required documentation. If failure to have any necessary travel or other documents results in fines, surcharges or other financial penalty, costs or expenses being imposed on or incurred by us, you will be responsible for reimbursing us accordingly.

1. Get in touch with us to discuss your tour objectives and we will take some basic information from you including - destination, date of travel, number of people travelling and preferred type of accommodation.
Don't worry if you haven't got a firm plan, we like nothing better than talking about battlefields and are happy to discuss any ideas you might have.
2. You will be sent a personalised proposal, together with a sample itinerary for your tour.
If any changes need to me made to the quotation, just let us know - we want this tour to be just right for you.
If you or any member of your party have any disabilities, it is extremely important that we make the necessary arrangements to make your tour go smoothly. We must therefore insist that you contact our offices on 01454 269764 before completing any reservation to ensure compatibility for the holiday that you choose.
Once everything is agreed we will send you a booking form and deposit request.
3. Read through the paperwork carefully and return your signed booking form and deposit back to us, when received we will issue a confirmation invoice.
4. If a guide is joining your tour, they will now get in touch and start preparing your personalised itinerary.
5. Full passenger lists will be required before you depart and we will advise you of the date we need this information, as it does vary and will be dependent on destination and method of travel.
6. The final balance is due 8 weeks prior to departure. Note: This may vary if the tour includes flights.
7. A month before your departure date we will be back in touch and will issue your travel documents and a full tour pack, which contains all the information you need for your tour. We will then be on hand throughout to ensure that everything runs smoothly and your tour is a complete success.

The prices shown on our website are based on a minimum of 45 passengers travelling and prices will vary dependant on the time of year you travel and what you would like including in your quotation.

A Duty Officer of CGT Battlefields Ltd is contactable 24 hours per day via either the main office number or mobile phone out of hours, whilst groups are out on tour. All Group Leaders will be given information on how to contact the Duty Officer as part of their final joining instructions. The Duty Officer will have available at all times and has details of all groups currently on tour and emergency contact numbers for all suppliers.
In addition CGT Battlefields Ltd will utilise the services of crisis consultants in the event of a serious incident. Meaning that our passengers will receive the best support in the unlikely event of any serious incident.
